Soccer : if you didn’t know it,you wouldn’t believe it.
1. Chamakh is 29, and Drogba is credited with helping to end a civil war....Surprise us!
2. Alex song has 17 sisters and 10 brothers. Jordi Alba doesn't have a drivers license and his father drives him to training.
3. Simon Mignolet speaks 5 languages and has a degree in politics as a back up.
He also started his career as a striker but got dropped so tried out at GK.
Edit: I've spoken to him a few times whilst working in corporate suites at the stadium and his English is fucking faultless. If you didn't know who he was you would 100% guess that he was English.
Related:Fernando Torres did this the other way round: started his career as a GK and switched to be a striker.
4.The first black man to play for Celtic was Gil Scott-Heron's father.
Related:Ryan Giggs has a black father.
5.Rio Mavuba (Lille) was born in international waters. His birth certificate does not have a nation listed, it just says "born at sea".
Reply:So is he an integral piece of Ocean's XI?
6.Ronaldo (Brazilian one) had that really stupid haircut at the World Cup so that his son would be able to distinguish him from other bald Brazilian players like Roberto Carlos on TV.
Related:I think Song dyed his hair blond for a similar reason .
Yes, this is the explanation for all Song's wacky haircuts.
7.Cardiff winger and scouser Craig Noone started his career in non-league football, while making a living as a roofer. In 2008, he tiled a roof extension on Steven Gerrard's house.
Over the next few years Noone rose through the ranks playing for Southport, Plymouth Argyle and eventually Brighton. And so it came to be that in 2011 he played against none other than Steven Gerrard in a League Cup match against his boyhood club.
Gerrard noted in his post-match interview that Noone played fantastic, and that he did a great job on his roof.
8.Dani Alves has more assists than Zidane
9.There is only one team out of the 4 divisions in England and the 4 divisions in Scotland that have a 'j' in their name.
It's Saint Johnstone.
10.Charlie Adam is younger than Cristiano Ronaldo
